MONGOLIA MISSIONS
China absorbed one-third of Mongolia, today known as Inner Mongolia. Russia took the remaining two-thirds. In 1989, Mongolia regained independence at the break-up of the Soviet Union. Independent Mongolia, which includes the Gobi Desert, is approximately the size of the United States east of the Mississippi River.
In 1990, only four Christians could be located in Mongolia. Today, there are two hundred churches in the country. Southwest Radio Ministries supplies funds to maintain missionaries and Bibles in the Mongolian language to new Christians.
Bibles for Mongolia are printed in Japan. Each Bible plus freight costs approximately $4.00. $100.00 supplies 25 Bibles; $1,000.00 supplies 250 Bibles.
