ITINERARY
Meals Included: B=Breakfast, D=Dinner
October 28-29 (Friday & Saturday) - Newark en route (D): We depart from Newark, New Jersey on Continental flight CO #90 at 10:50 p.m. and fly overnight directly to Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, Israel and arrive at 3:15 p.m. next day. Flight is approximately eleven hours. Meals served according to airline schedule. On landing, we proceed through immigration and baggage, meet our tour guide, and drive to our home for the next three days, the Mt. Zion Boutique Hotel in Jersualem for dinner and overnight.

October 30-31 (Sunday & Monday) - Jerusalem (B/D): After a good night's rest and typical Israeli buffet breakfast, we will board our bus and begin the tour of a lifetime. Each day we begin our journey with prayer, Bible reading, and devotions. With each site we will study the related Scriptures explaining its biblical and historical significance by Bro. Hutchings and our guide.
For the next two and a half days, we will visit the following sites in the Jerusalem area: Western Wall and Temple Mount; Pool of Bethsaida; Church of St. Anne; Temple Institute; Garden Tomb with service; Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum) if possible; Mount of Olives; Upper Room; Garden of Gethsemane; and Bethlehem as political and time constraints permit.
November 1 (Tuesday) - Eilat (B/D): After breakfast, we will say goodbye to Jerusalem and head south to spend the night in Eilat in preparation to enter Jordan. Dinner and overnight at the Leonardo Plaza Hotel.
November 2 (Wednesday) - Petra, Jordan (B/D): This morning after breakfast, we will leave our hotel early to prepare to cross into Jordan to visit Petra on a scheduled day trip. Petra is the largest "ghost town" in the world. We will enter by the Ciq, a cleft in the rock that is just over a mile long with its sides towering 250 feet above the passage floor. For those that cannot walk this distance, carts and horses will be available for a fee.

At the entrance, we will immediately be greeted by one of the most photographed architectural sites in the world, the Treasury Building. It is widely known for its appearance in the Indiana Jones movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Here we also find Mt. Seir (Genesis 36:8), whose highest point is Mt. Hor, the burial place of Aaron, the brother of Moses (Numbers 20:28). Petra may be the safe place that will host Israel during the last half of the Tribulation period. We will stop for lunch somewhere along the way.
After the visit, we will return to Eilat. We will not check out of our hotel in Eilat because we will return there for dinner and overnight. You will not have to pack but do not fail to take your passport. Take only essentials such as money, camera, umbrella, sun screen, snacks, and any medicine you might need before returning to the hotel in Eilat. Upon arriving back in Eilat, we will have dinner and overnight at our hotel.

November 3 (Thursday) - Masada/Ein Gedi/Qumran/Dead Sea (B/D): After breakfast, we will leave Eilat and head north to the Dead Sea that is 1,400 feet below sea level, the lowest place on Earth. Towering above the Dead Sea is Masada, one of the last Jewish strongholds to fall to the Romans in A.D. 72 after the fall of Jerusalem. Herre we will ferry to the top of the mount where more than 1,000 Jews took their own lives rather than fall into the hands of the Romans.
Continuing north, we will next visit Ein Gedi, complete with a beautiful spring, waterfall, and biblical wildlife such as the ibex and coney. It was here that David cut off the hem of Saul's garment as he slept in a cave (I Samuel 23). Next, we will visit Qumran, the cave where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We will then drive to the Daniel Hotel on the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight. Those who would like to swim in the Dead Sea will have time this evening.

November 4 (Friday) - Beit She'an/Tiberias-Sea of Galilee (B/D): After breakfast, we will leave the Dead Sea area and head north to make our way to the city of Tiberias. On the way, we will stop for a short visit at Beit She'an, the ancient city where Saul's body was nailed to the walled city's gate (I Samuel 31). We will check in to the Leonardo Plaza Hotel on the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight. We will remain at the hotel for the next three nights.
November 5 (Saturday) - Sea of Galilee/Tabgha/Mount of Beatitudes/Capernaum/Chorazin/Bethsaida/Jordan River (B/D): After breakfast, we will begin our tour of northern Israel. To begin the day, we will board a wooden boat similar to those used in Jesus' day and will sail onto the Sea of Galilee for a time of refreshing. We will then drive to Tabgha, the traditional site where Jesus fed the 5,000 with five loaves and two fish (Matthew 6:19). We will then visit the "Jesus Boat" Museum and view a boat recovered from the Sea of Galilee which was discovered in 1986 that dates back to the time of Jesus.
Our next stop will be to visit the site of the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-7:29). Next, we will tour the sites of the three cities that Jesus cursed: Capernaum, Chorazin, and Bethsaida (Matthew 11:20-25). These are the three cities in Israel that have never been rebuilt. To highlight the day, we will hold a baptismal serve in the Jordan River for anyone wanting to be baptized. Towels and gowns for baptism are available for a small fee. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.
November 6 (Sunday) - Dan/Golan Heights/Gamla (B/D): After breakfast, we will drive north to the Lebanon/Syria border where we will visit the Dan River and Forest Reserve, along with the ancient city of Dan. Here we view the Canaanite gate that Abraham passed through in his quest to rescue Lot and his family from Amraphel, king of Syria (Genesis 14) and visit Tel Dan and the high place where Jereboam set up the golden calf and the altar where Israel sacrificed before this idol.

Leaving Tel Dan, we then travel to the Golan Heights, the land of Bashan mentioned in Exodus 39:18 where the armies of Gog are destined to be destroyed. Here view the relics of the miraculous victories of Israel in the wars of 1948, 1967, and 1973. Next, we will visit the Gamla bird and animal reserve east of the Sea of Galilee where 5,000 Jews plunged to their deaths in A.D. 66 rather than surrender to the Romans. Here under the leadership of the historian Josephus, the Jews held off for two years before being overcome. It is also here that we will see vultures and biblical animal life returning to Israel, a major prophetic sign (Isaiah 34:15). We will then return to our hotel for dinner and pack our luggage in preparation for our return flight to Newark.
November 7 (Monday) - Megiddo/Mt. Carmel/Caesarea/Joppa (B/D): After breakfast, we will begin our trip back to Tel Aviv to catch our flight home. On the way, we will visit Megiddo to view the future battleground of Armageddon (Revelation 16:16). Then we will continue to Haifa to view Mt. Carmel, the area where Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal (I Kings 18). Our next site will be Caesarea, a large Roman coastal city where Paul was imprisoned for two years (Acts 23:23-26:32).
Next, we will visit Joppa, home of Simon the tanner, near Tel Aviv. In Tel Aviv we will have dinner at a nice local restaurant before making our way to the airport. At the airport we will say goodbye to Israel, our tour guide, and driver before boarding our flight home. The departure time is 11:40 p.m. on CO #91 to Newark.
November 8 (Tuesday) - Return to Newark: We will arrive at Newark at 4:50 a.m. After passing through passport and luggage control, we will pick up our luggage to make our way to our different homes. Be sure to say your goodbyes at the luggage carousel because everyone will be in a hurry to catch their domestic flights home.
Possible itinerary changes due to time constraints and local conditions.
