Gunfire erupted Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2015, outside the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. Two Muslims wearing body armor and armed with assault rifles had travelled a thousand miles to the Dallas suburb to slaughter as many people as they could. They were unhappy because of the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest that was showing cartoons of the Prophet of Islam.

Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi failed to penetrate the elaborate security perimeter and were shot and killed immediately.

Geert Wilders, the Dutch lawmaker who served as the keynote speaker at the Texas event that showcased cartoons of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad, says that there will be more attacks on U.S. soil.

Wilders, the fiery leader of the Party for Freedom in the Netherlands, said radical Islam is an ideology that is relentless in its quest for domination. He was not surprised by the attack in Garland, Texas, at the “Draw-The- Prophet- Muhammad” contest.

During his 20-minute address on May 3, 2015, Wilders made it clear that he did not believe cartoon depictions of the Prophet should be suppressed in order to avoid what critics call unnecessarily provocative acts that offend many Muslims.

  • Transgender Regretters

    by Larry Spargimino

mistake2-2The words of Psalm 139:14, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made,” are often used to defend the life of the unborn. Recently, however, it’s now becoming the theme song for those who regret their sex change surgery, which is being likened to “mutilation.”

Being male or female is more than just different body parts. It involves hormones, glands, heart, soul, and mind. Men and women are different—deep down. God made it that way.

Despite all the rising anti-Semitism and horrific rhetoric against Israel, God gives reminders that He has not forgotten Israel. Two recent developments are noteworthy.

As reported in The Algemeiner, the first comes from the Indiana Legislature. The Indiana General Assembly has become the second-ever state legislature to pass a bill that formally opposes the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel. Tennessee lawmakers approved a similar measure on April 21.

  • Designer Embryos

    by Larry Spargimino

human embryoMan has always sought to usurp the place and prerogative of God. Technology is becoming a great incentive for man to think that life and death is in his hands.

In a current issue of Nature we read that Chinese scientists are genetically modifying human embryos. These experiments and developments will reignite a firestorm of ethical debate.

In a world first, Chinese scientists have reported “editing” the genomes of human embryos. The results are published in the journal Protein and Cell. This report confirms widespread rumors that such experiments had been conducted—rumors that sparked a high-profile debate about the ethical implications of such work.

WASHINGTON, DC - APRIL 25: President Barack Obama speaks at the annual White House Correspondent's Association Gala at the Washington Hilton hotel April 25, 2015 in Washington, D.C. The return of Jesus Christ is one of the great themes of the Bible. Even in the first century, true Christians were looking forward to that day. The Apostle Paul writes the following words in 1 Thessalonians 1:9–10: “For they themselves show of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

Recently the former four-term congresswoman from Minnesota, Michelle Bachmann, caught flak from liberals who are riding a “mock-Bachmann train.” And now the President of the United States has jumped aboard, making Bachmann the butt of his jokes during a recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

  • “It’s Now Sunday In The Middle East”

    by Larry Spargimino

erbil-refugee-tentAn old Arab Christian proverb says: “When Saturday is gone, one will find Sunday.” It expresses their fear that they (the Sunday people) will share the fate of the Jewish people (the Saturday people). When the Jews are persecuted, the Christians will be next.

On the eve of the 1967 Six Day War with Israel, Muslims chanted: “First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.” According to a publication of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem:

“The Jewish population in the Middle East (outside Israel) and North Africa has declined from some one million in 1945 to less than five thousand today. While not all of them fled their homes as refugees, there were plenty of them who did. The situation was so bad that the front page headline of the New York Times on May 16, 1948, read: “Jews in Grave Danger in all Moslem Lands.”

  • Human Trafficking—In Your Backyard

    by Larry Spargimino

human traffickingWhen the Apostle Paul writes about the approaching end times he writes that people will be “without natural affection” (2 Timothy 3:3).

Oklahoma Living for February 2015 featured an article titled: “Human Trafficking In Oklahoma.” This is a vile practice, the perpetrators of which have lost all natural “affection.”

  • Sound Speech from Michele Bachmann

    by Larry Spargimino

Michele BachmannThe Christian Post reports that “Former congresswoman and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has accused President Barack Obama of being ‘pro the goals of Islamic jihad,’ which she explains includes welcoming the ‘hidden imam’ to bring on the apocalypse.”

Bachmann went on to say, “Talk about what you see in the newspaper every single day. We can talk about God’s time clock and the fact that Jesus Christ’s return is imminent. Is there anything more important to talk about? That needs to occupy our time and our thought from virtually morning to night because we have very little time, in my opinion, left before the second return of Christ.”
