Days 1-2  +  November 9–10

(D)—Depart from Newark, NJ. and fly overnight directly to Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, Israel. Flight is approximately 11 hours. Meals served according to airline schedule. After passing through immigration and baggage we will immediately meet our guide and drive to our hotel, the Leonardo Plaza Hotel in Netanya or Tel Aviv, for dinner and overnight.

GolgothaDay 3  +  November 11

(B,D)—After a good night’s rest, we will rise up early for our first typical Israeli buffet breakfast and then board our bus and begin the tour of a lifetime. Each day we will begin our journey with prayer, Bible reading, and devotions. With each site we will study the related scriptures with explanations by the tour host and guide of its biblical and historical significance. Today we will visit Caesarea Maritima; Megiddo; Mount Carmel, where Elijah confronted the false prophets of Baal; Baptismal site at Yardenit (Jordan River); and Tiberias. Dinner and overnight at the Galei Kineret Hotel in Tiberias.

Day 4  +  November 12

(B,D)—After breakfast, we begin our tour with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee; and then visit the new excavations at Magdala; visit the Jesus Boat Museum; Tabgha; Capernaum; the Mount of Beatitudes; Tel Dan; and if time permits Caesarea Philippi. We again overnight in Tiberias.

Treasury Building at PetraDay 5  +  November 13

(B,D)—Today we will visit the Beit She'an National Park before crossing into Jordan on the Sheik Hussein Bridge. Upon arriving in Jordan, we will visit Madaba and Mount Nebo. Dinner and overnight at the Petra Moon Hotel.

Day 6  +  November 14

(B,D)—This morning after breakfast, we will visit Petra, the largest “ghost town” in the world. We will enter by the Ciq, a cleft in the rock that is just over a mile long with its sides towering 250 feet above the passage floor. For those that cannot walk this distance, carts and horses will be available for a fee. At the entrance we will immediately be greeted by one of the most photographed architectural sites in the world, the Treasury Building. It is widely known for its appearance in the Indiana Jones movie, The Last Crusade. Here we also find Mount Seir (Genesis 36:8), whose highest point is Mount Hor, the burial place of Aaron, the brother of Moses (Numbers 20:28). Petra may be the safe place that will host Israel during the last half of the Tribulation period. After lunch we will visit Wadi Rum (best known for its association with Lawrence of Arabia), including a Jeep ride, and then cross back into Israel at the Arava crossing. Upon arriving in Eilat we will have dinner and overnight at our hotel, the Leonardo Plaza Hotel Eilat.

 Day 7  +  November 15

(B,D)—After breakfast, we will tour Eilat where we will visit the Underwater Observatory, and then head to the Dead Sea region, which is 1,400 feet below sea level, the lowest place on Earth. Towering above the Dead Sea is Masada, one of the last Jewish strongholds to fall to the Romans in AD 72 after the fall of Jerusalem. Here we will ferry to the top of the mount where more than 1,000 Jews took their own lives rather than fall into the hands of Romans. Continuing north we will next visit Ein Gedi, complete with a beautiful spring, waterfall, and biblical wildlife such as the ibex and coney. It was here that David cut off the hem of Saul’s garment as he slept in a cave (1 Samuel 23). We will overnight at the David Resort and Spa Hotel on the Dead Sea. Those who would like to swim in the Dead Sea or get a mud wrap will have time this evening.

Day 8  +  November 16

(B,D)—After breakfast, we will visit Qumran, the cave where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We will leave the Dead Sea area and head north to make our way to Jericho, and then on to Jerusalem, where we will spend the remainder of our time. We will begin our visit to Jerusalem at the Mount of Olives. We will visit the Garden of Gethsemane; Mount Zion; the Tomb of King David; and the Upper Room. We will check in to the Dan Panorama Hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. We will remain at this hotel for the next three nights.

Boat on the Sea of GalileeDay 9  +  November 17

(B,D)—After breakfast, we will continue our tour of Jerusalem with a visit to the Tower of David (the Citadel); the Garden Tomb; Solomon's Quarries; and the Western Wall, where we will see the Sabbath welcoming celebrations. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

 Day 10  +  November 18

(B,D)—After breakfast, we will see the Pools of Bethesda; walk the Via Dolorosa, believed to be the path Jesus walked on His way to the crucifixion; visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchur; and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. This evening we will attend a sound and light show at the Tower of David. We will then return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 11  +  November 19

(B,D)—After breakfast, we will visit Yad Vashem, the memorial for victims of the Holocaust; the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed; the Knesset Building, which is the seat of government in Israel; the Great Menorah; Emmaus; and Old Jaffa, where Peter had his vision telling him to preach to the Gentiles. We will have our farewell dinner at a nice restaurant in Old Jaffa before making our way to the airport. At the airport we will say goodbye to Israel, our tour guide, and driver before boarding our flight home to Newark.

 Day 12  +  November 20

(B,D)—We will arrive in Newark. After passing through passport and luggage control, we will pick up our luggage to make our way to our different homes. Be sure to say your goodbyes at the luggage carousel because everyone will be in a hurry to catch their domestic flights home.
