False Teachers

“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible even the elect” (Mark 13:22).

Have you ever given thought to what Jesus was saying there? Is this happening today? All you need do is take a look at the church today. What are we seeing within the church? Preachers promise God’s blessings if you give them money, but God can’t be bought. God wants us to support the church. Yes, He will bless you if you support the church. But He likes a cheerful giver—not what some preacher says that we are to give.

Some of these men even say that they can forgive you of your sins. This is impossible. NO man can forgive you of your sins. NO man has ever died on a cross in order to forgive us of our sins. Only Jesus Christ—who did that through His shed blood—can forgive our sins. Don’t fall for this lie.

Pay close attention to what is being preached from the pulpit, on TV, and on the radio. Who is it glorifying? Is it trying to place man above Jesus? If so, then it is not from GOD. These false teachings will send a lot of people to Hell. Discern what is being taught. If it doesn’t line up with Scripture, then reject it. Not all who claim to be a Christian are Christians. The devil comes as a light, but is nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing. This not only applies to preachers but to Sunday school teachers, Christian authors, TV preachers, missionaries—the church is full of these false teachers. If you suspect any of these people as being false, then run as fast as you can out of that setting.

Does your church look and sound like a night club? If so, ask why it is this way. Does it lack symbols of the church? Are there hymn books? Why is the preacher not dressed as a preacher, one who should be dressed in a suit and tie? Satan knows Scripture better than a lot of us. He will pervert Scripture and twist it to his liking in order to deceive us. That is why it is so important for us to be able to discern what is being taught.

Jesus wants us to hear the Word and be with other Christians. He also wants us to be able to know the truth when we hear GOD’S Word. The Pharisees were full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness, full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Does this sound like any churches today? You may be asking, is this hard on the church? Yes it is, but you need to understand that your soul and your eternal destination are at stake and is nothing to play with.

We need to get down to serious business and present the Word of GOD as it is supposed to be presented—with truth and in a manner that people can understand, not flowered up in order to make us feel good. We need to get away from rituals and entertainment. Preach Jesus and HIS saving grace, having faith in HIM to take care of us. Satan will plant these people within the church in order to undermine the work and teaching of Jesus. How do we know if they are false teachers? When we go to the doctor, he examines us to see what is wrong with us. We need to do the same thing when we examine who is teaching us. Take a look and see if he/she has a sincere prayer life, and are they fully devoted to GOD and HIS Word? Do they have the fruit of the Spirit? How do they treat sinners? Do they preach against sin, hate evil, and uphold righteousness?

Jesus told us numerous times to be aware of people who would mislead. If Jesus was concerned about false teachers, shouldn’t we be? He knew that this would be a problem. We need to obey the Lord and throw these people out of the church. Do these people honor Jesus, lead the church as Jesus would, offer salvation to the lost, and uphold the entire gospel of Christ? Do they believe in the entire Word of GOD? Are they good stewards with GOD’s money? These are just a few examples to see if they are of GOD.

If you are not a Christian, don’t let these false teachers keep you from becoming a Christian. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and begin to live for HIM. Christian, if you are wondering about your salvation, then simply ask Jesus to forgive you as well. In Revelation 3:15-16, Jesus told the church of Laodicea, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert, cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.” This will happen to the church if we don’t weed these false people out.

Don’t let another day go by without Jesus. You may not get another chance to invite Jesus into your life. No man can forgive you of you sins and no ritual can save you either. Only the shed blood of Jesus Christ can. Without Jesus none of us will live with GOD in Heaven.

Do You Really Want to Go There?

One subject that Jesus talked about more than any other was hell. The dictionary defines hell this way: “A state or place of woe and anguish arrived at by the wicked after death; The state or place of total and final separation from God of eternal misery and suffering arrived at by those who die unrepentant in grave sin.”

I could stop right there and not write any more, but I am going to break down this definition and give Scripture to make my case. A state or place of woe, which means great sorrow and anguish or distress; a place where the wicked go after death. Think about this for a moment: Who is in hell? Every wicked person you can think of throughout history. Those who didn’t accept Jesus as Savior. You ask, Who might that be? Think about the most evil person in modern history. Does Hitler come to mind? He murdered millions of people.

How about gangsters that murdered people, and drug lords. You might say that these people got just what they deserved. How about those who have not accepted Jesus; they will be there too. They may not have committed crimes like these people did. It isn’t just being evil that sends one to hell; it is sin. Jesus said in John 3:3 that we need to be born again of the spirit in order to go to heaven. Sin can and will not be allowed in heaven. It is like oil and water. They don’t mix, so neither will sin mix with good.

Is hell real? It is just as real a place as heaven. Hell is a place where the fire will never go out; torment will be forever. Jesus told a story in Luke 16:19-31 about a rich man and Lazarus (a beggar). Lazarus died and went to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man died and went to hell. While in hell, the rich man cried out to Abraham for water to cool the tip of his tongue. Why would he do that? It is because of the fire. He told Abraham, “I am tormented in this flame.” Matthew 3:12 states that hell is “unquenchable fire.” Mark 9:43 speaks of “the fire that shall never be quenched.”

Evil people, unsaved people, and even those who may think that they are saved but are not, will experience the wrath of God. You may say that you don’t believe in God, heaven, or even hell. Do you really want to take that chance? Do you really want to gamble with your soul? What if the Bible is false and nothing happens when you die? But what if the Bible is true? Then what? After we die it is too late to say, “Please forgive me.” We have to make the choice before we die. We are going to spend eternity somewhere. It will be either with God in heaven, or with Satan in hell. So, yes, hell is real, it is a place of everlasting torment and punishment which will never cease. If hell isn’t real why is it mentioned 167 times in Scripture?

Do you know that each of us has a certain amount of days to live? Psalm 139:16 tells us that. God knows when, where, how and exactly the time of our death. We may live to be in our eighties, nineties or even older, or maybe we will die at birth. We don’t know our time of death. That is why it is so important for us to be ready to die. We can expedite our death by reckless living. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. None of us are guaranteed our next breath.

There is no place between heaven and hell. It is one or the other. There will be no second chance once we die. Some may say that God will destroy the wicked and they will not experience hell. That’s not true. Jesus said in Matthew 8:12, “But the children of the kingdom, [wicked] shall be cast out into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Does this sound like the wicked and unsaved will be destroyed? If you should decide to take the chance and not accept Jesus, that will be your fate. You will go to hell just as you are, with all of life’s aches and pains into the eternal fire that will never go out. Is this what you want?

Would you rather be at peace with no more pain, no more tears, and no more cares of this world? There is a way to escape a burning hell. His name is Jesus. It is through His shed blood that He gave on the cross that covers our sins, and thus we are forgiven. God sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, to die for us so that we can go to heaven and live with Him. God doesn’t want anyone to go to hell; He wants us to be with Him.

Today is the day to accept Jesus as Savior. Don’t put it off. Simply pray to Him and ask Him into your life and to forgive you of your sins. The choice is yours to make; no one can make this choice for you. There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun. I pray that you will make heaven your home when you die.

The Blood of Christ

Hebrews 9:14 states, “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Before Christ, the high priest had to sacrifice bulls and goats for the forgiveness of sins. Each animal had to be perfect—devoid of defects of any kind—in order to be sacrificed to God.

The same went for Jesus. He was and is the perfect person who God chose to be the sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. The blood of Jesus is central for the redemption of sin. Without Jesus’ shed blood, there is no forgiveness of sin. We can sacrifice all the bulls and goats we want, but it will not save anyone. God’s purpose was to send His only begotten Son to save a lost and dying world.

That is why it is so vital for preachers today to preach the shed blood of Christ. If this isn’t preached, we may as well stay home and watch TV. Jesus’ death on the cross by the shedding of His blood reconciled us back to God the Father. He removed the sin stain from our lives. All we have to do is repent, “turn away from sin,” and ask God to forgive us. We must have faith and believe in Him.

When we turn to God and ask for forgiveness; God no longer sees us as we were, He sees us through the blood which makes us clean in His sight. What a wonderful thing this is to be seen this way. No longer dirty, but to be clean and most of all forgiven. We need to give Him praise and glory for what He has done for us. There is no other way for us to come to God, but through Jesus’ shed blood.

You may say blood is an awful way to be saved, but without blood, none of us could live. It is our lifeline. Jesus’ blood is our lifeline to eternal life with God. Don’t let man tell you that this is awful. Rememger, Jesus is the perfect Lamb of God. There are other ways that Jesus’ blood benefits us. It protects us from the devil and evil powers.

When we pray, we ask God to cover us with the blood of Christ. It is our protection, just as a solid door on our home protects us from the elements. When we truly believe and have accepted Jesus into our lives, His blood is all-powerful. Will bad things still come our way? Yes, but we need to continue to believe and not waiver in our walk with the Lord. Keep our faith strong and face what life sends our way, and we will be victorious in the end.

Christ’s blood justifies us before God, that we may no longer be held accountable for our sins. What a great benefit this is. When we stand before the Lord, He will say, “Well done.” These words have always been good to hear. When we do a good job at work, or get good grades in school, this makes us feel good. But when we hear Jesus say, “Well done,” what a blessing that will be.

Does your conscience ever bother you? Sure it does; it is human for this to happen. But Christ’s blood clears up your conscience of past sins so we can serve God without guilt,. We are no longer guilty of sin because of the blood of Christ. I hope that you are starting to get the picture of what I am telling you about the blood of Christ. Without it, we are all lost. His blood sanctifies us, or sets us apart from this sinful world.

In 1 John 1:7, we read: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” What does that mean? We must continually walk with Jesus and believe in Him, so that God will continually cleanse us from sin. Do we still sin? Yes, we do because we are still in this sinful world.

Once we pass from this life and go to be with the Lord, there is no more need to worry about sin. Are you looking for that blessed day? Another benefit of Christ’s blood is that it opens the way for us to go boldly into the throne room of God and lay our request before Him. Thereby we can receive mercy, grace, and, most importantly, salvation. We are no longer bound by the old covenant because we now have a new covenant, because of Jesus Christ.

The blood of Christ is continually given to us so that we can draw near to God. Have you given your life to Christ? If not, won’t you do so today? All you have to do is simply ask Jesus into your life, asking Him to forgive you of your sins. Once you do, His shed blood will wash away your sins. You then will become a child of God, saved by grace and have eternal life with God in Heaven. Don’t wait; tomorrow may be too late!

Are You Ready?

John 3:3  “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus was speaking to Nicodemus, a Pharisee who had come to Jesus at night. He told Jesus that he was known to be a teacher sent from God.

After Jesus told him that he had to be born again, Nicodemus said, “How can a man enter a second time into his mother’s womb?” Nicodemus didn’t understand what Jesus was trying to tell him. Simply put, we must accept Jesus as our Savior in order to enter into the kingdom of God. In other words, we need to be saved so we can go to heaven.

More often than not, preachers of all faiths try to put more of man’s rules on what we need to do to be saved. Becoming a Christian isn’t hard at all. All we need do is follow what the Word of God tells us to do. We have to recognize several things in our lives to be born again. First, we need to realize that we are all sinners. Romans 3:10 says, “As it is written, There is none righteous; no, not one.” All of us were born into a sinful world. It is our very nature to sin.

Sin was introduced into the world when Adam and Eve sinned against God, when they ate of the forbidden fruit. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, there is a penalty for sin. Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death.” What does that mean? Death here means spiritual death, eternal separation from God. Our sin will keep us from eternal life.

This is why it is important to be ready when death comes or the Rapture happens. To be caught unprepared when these events happen is playing with hell’s fire. I know that there are some who will say “I am a good person.” Just being good will not get you to heaven. It is by accepting Jesus as Savior.

There are those who will not accept Jesus because they don’t believe in God or an afterlife. Let me ask this. Suppose you are right and there isn’t an afterlife and there is no God. I believe that there is and I die. What have I lost? Suppose I am right and there is an afterlife and there is a God. What have you lost? You will lose a wonderful life with the Lord in heaven and will spend eternity separated from Him in hell.

God gave us a choice as to where we will spend eternity. Are you ready to make your choice? If so, all you need to do is to accept Jesus and begin a new life with Him. Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

The key word in that scripture is believe. If we don’t believe, then it is all for naught. We believe in numerous things, why not Jesus? You might say, How can I believe in Jesus when I haven’t seen Him? It’s easy, it is by faith. Do you have faith when you are crossing a bridge that it won’t fall? Do you have faith in your doctor when you are going to have surgery that he won’t make a mistake? Of course you do. That is what faith is. So why not have faith in Jesus and believe in Him. Romans 10:10 says, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

If you believe that Jesus died for you and you want to accept Him as Savior, take a moment. Pray to Him and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and invite Him into your life.

Death and the Rapture will happen someday. Why not be prepared and ensure your place with God by accepting Jesus today, because tomorrow may be too late.

Divine Healing

“When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word and healed all that were sick. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sickness” (Matthew 8:16–17). Looking at these scriptures, we see that Jesus healed all that were brought before him.

We need to understand what brought sickness into the world. It was the fall that took place when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. Before the fall, everything was perfect. But when they disobeyed God, that all changed. Sin entered the world; sickness and disease also entered man.

The world today sees it another way. Most of the medical field says sickness and disease are because of physiological and psychosomatic reasons. Many in the medical field who aren’t Christians don’t believe God can heal, but contrary to their way of thinking, God is still in the healing business. Some doctors think that they are the ones who are healing the sick. This same thinking can also be found in the church. Many so-called preachers don’t believe in divine healing.

Modern medicine does help to heal people, but true healing comes from God. God gave man the knowledge and the ability to become a doctor. The Bible tells us that there are two main causes for all sickness. The first reason is sin; the second is Satan. Satan doesn’t want us to be healed. He is doing everything he can to prevent us from being made whole. He wants us to blame God for our sickness. Perhaps you have even blamed God for your sickness.

We need to examine our lives to see if there is sin that is keeping us from being healed. For sin, God provided forgiveness by Jesus’ shed blood. In death, God provides us eternal life and a resurrected life through Jesus. While Jesus was here on earth, He had a threefold ministry. He taught God’s Word, He preached the Word, and He went out and healed every kind of sickness and disease. Matthew 4:23 states: “And Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.”

God’s will concerning healing is revealed in Scripture. In Exodus 15:26, God promised health and healing for His people if they remained faithful to His covenant and commandments. We need to do the same thing today. God said, “I am the Lord that healeth thee.” God was the doctor of His people then, and He is the doctor of us today. God’s people need to give earnest heed to seek His face and obey His Word.

We have forgotten that we still need to do the things that God has commanded of us. That may be the reason that we don’t see healings in the church; we think that we don’t have to do what God says we need to do. Do you desire healing? Then put away pride and begin to seek and obey God, and then watch what happens. When we do the things God commands us to do, wonderful things will begin to take place in our lives.

Through Jesus’ ministry, He was representing God’s nature and character. Jesus revealed God’s will, proving that God’s purpose was to heal all who were sick and oppressed by the devil. Through Jesus’ atoning death, we received complete healing and forgiveness of sin. This show that God wants us to be whole in our bodies and our spirits.

We need to come to God with humility and faith, and ask Him for healing and forgiveness. We have gotten away from doing what God told us to do. Nothing has changed; God is still in control, but we want to do it our own way. Understand that no man can heal you or save your soul. That is up to God.

There are times that God will not heal. Sin, fear, and lack of faith can all hinder God. God may also see that taking one of His own is in our best interest. It is far better for us to be with God than to stay here on this earth. Should God decide not to heal us or a loved one, remember that when we die, we will receive our ultimate healing. God promised that there will be no more pain or suffering when we get to Heaven. That would be much better than staying here in this sin-ridden world.

If you are in need of healing, make sure first that you are right with God by accepting Jesus as your Savior. Go to a church that still believes that God can and will heal you. Expect that God will heal you … and know that sometimes God will delay His answer. God may have bigger plans for you. Don’t let anyone discourage you. The devil doesn’t want you well; he is a liar. God promised to never leave or forsake you. He only wants what is best for you. God always keeps His promises. Simply have faith and believe what He has told us in His word.

Death Is No Big Deal

In Job 19:25–26, we read: “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.” We are all subject to death, whether you are a Christian or not. Scripture tells us that there is more than one meaning of death. Going back to Genesis, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit they died spiritually, which allowed sin to come into the world.

This allowed death to also come into the world. God told Adam and Eve, “For dust thou art, and unto dust thou shalt return” (Genesis 3:19). Even though they didn’t die that day, they had sinned against God so they died morally. Romans 8:6–8 says: “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”

The choice is ours: either we stay in the flesh which is against God, or we can be in the spirit which is with God. When we are in the flesh our relationship with God is destroyed and we die spiritually. When we die as a result of sin, we will experience eternal death. Eternal death means just that—it is eternal separation from God.

But none of us need to experience spiritual death. God made a way for us to escape this type of death. It is through His Son Jesus. By Jesus’ death, He reconciled us back to God the Father. Jesus reversed the spiritual separation of sin by His resurrection. Jesus broke the power of Satan, sin, and physical death. How did Jesus break the power of physical death if we still die? Scripture tells us that Christians will be resurrected to eternal life and those who didn’t accept Jesus as Savior will be resurrected to eternal death.

As Christians we look to death differently than those who do not believe. A Christian should not fear death but look forward to it. A Christian’s death is a transition from the pain and affliction of this world and the earthly body. On resurrection day, we will be clothed in a new body free from the old body’s aches and pains.

There is so much to look forward to when a Christian dies, more than we can imagine. When death comes we should rejoice for believers because they have fought the race and crossed the finish line of life. Does it hurt to lose them? Of course it does. If you are a Christian remember this: Even though we are saying goodbye to them, it is only temporary and the reunion will be even better.

The other side of the coin of death is spiritual death. We often overlook what is in store for those who don’t believe. In Luke 16:19–31, Jesus told a story about a rich man and Lazarus. The rich man had everything that the world had to offer. Lazarus, on the other hand, was poor and had sores on his body. Lazarus stayed by the rich man’s gate, begging to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. When Lazarus died, he was taken by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. Lazarus was right with God. The rich man died and was buried. His life was filled with riches, but he made the wrong choices in life. When he died, he looked up from Hell, being in torment.

He saw Abraham; Lazarus was in Abraham’s bosom. The rich man cried out and said, “Have mercy on me. Send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.” Abraham replied, “Remember that during your lifetime you had all the good things and Lazarus the evil things. So now he is comforted and you are tormented.” Abraham then said, “Besides, there is a great gulf between us; no one can pass from either side to the other.”

The rich man said, “Send someone to my father’s house because I have five brothers. Tell them about this place lest they come here.” Abraham refused, because he said, “They have Moses and the prophets. Let them hear them. If they won’t hear Moses and the prophets they won’t be persuaded.”

This story that Jesus told is a true story that applies even today. The Christian is in Heaven upon death, and the unbeliever is in torment or Hell, just as Jesus said. The destinies of both the rich man and Lazarus were irreversible at death.

The choice of where we will spend eternity is ours alone to make. Have you made your choice? If you haven’t accepted Jesus as Savior, I encourage you to do so today. Once we take our last breath and close our eyes in death it will be too late to make that choice. Do you really want to wait?

Surprise! What Surprise?

Matthew 24 is known as “The Olivet Discourse.” This chapter deals with the signs of Jesus’ returning for the church and the end of the world. Jesus began first by telling the disciples in verse 4 to “take heed that no man deceive you.” What does that mean?

Throughout history it has been Satan’s goal to deceive mankind by any trick and scheme that he can use. One of his tricks is to find any way that he can to get into the church and use preachers to do his bidding by preaching and teaching false doctrine. Many Christians have fallen for this trick, instead of listening to what Jesus said by way of the Holy Spirit and reading the Bible. We have also been deceived by so-called ministries that go on TV and radio and preach and teach how to feel good, and then asking for money to further their goal of riches.

They also believe that by sowing seed money, God can be bought off. God cannot be bought. Don’t fall for this. Run out the door of any church and turn off the TV and radio when they depart from the truth of the Word of God. This also applies to the printed area of so-called authors who print garbage. Learn to discern what is true and correct. How you may ask? Read the Bible and trust what God is saying. If anything you read or hear doesn’t line up with the Word of God, chances are it is false. Jesus said in verse 5: “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ: and shall deceive many.” Once again Jesus warns us of deception.

Jesus continues by saying that we shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. All we need do is look around the world, and we see wars. The Middle East is a prime example of war. The United States has been at war there for over seventeen years with no sign of it ending any time soon. Russia, North Korea, and Iran are saber rattling as well.

Jesus continued by saying, “Be not troubled: for these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places” (vss. 6–7). All we need to do is look at our world. Neighboring countries are fighting. People in Africa and other third world nations are starving because of drought and dictators depriving their people of food. Pestilence and sickness are running rampart because of lack of medical care.Earthquakes are on the rise throughout the world.

Jesus continued in verse 8 by saying, “All these are the beginning of sorrows.” Imagine that this is just the beginning. There is more to come.

Jesus also told us in the latter days that there will be a falling away in the church. In 2 Thessalonians 2:3 we once again are warned about being deceived. There will be a falling away, or apostasy, during the end times. What does that mean? People in the church will believe the lies that Satan has planted. People will reject God’s Word and fulfill what Jesus was talking about.

Christians will be delivered up for persecution. This is already taking place throughout the world. Jesus said in verses 9–10: “Ye shall be hated of all nations for my names sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.” Do you see this happening now? Yes, it is happening now. One church hates another; we are fighting among ourselves, falling into the trap that Satan has set. He wants us to fight among ourselves because he knows that a house divided against itself cannot stand. We should be fighting against Satan and all that he stands for.

In verse 11 Jesus continues by saying that there will be false prophets. They shall rise and shall deceive many. Once again, Jesus is warning against deception.

Verse 12 states: “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Simply stated, there will be an increase in immorality, shamelessness, rebellion against God, and a casting out of moral standards. There will be an increase of all types of sexual perversion, pornography, drugs, ungodly music, television shows, and dirty movies. Look around: homosexual activity is on the rise, the United States leads the world in nasty movies, books, and television shows. The drug problem is on the rise; more and more states are legalizing marijuana. Same-sex marriages are now the norm; more homosexuals are on TV and in the movies; changing sex from one to another is on the rise; and crime is on the rise. All types of filth are polluting our world.

Just what Jesus said would happen is happening. We have lost our way because we have accepted that what once was wrong is now right, and what was right is now wrong. Preachers have stopped preaching against sin and have begun to preach messages that make us feel good. Ministries have gotten away from preaching and teaching about Bible prophecy. Money along with how big I can make my church seems to be the message of today.

There are a few that still preach and teach the Bible, but it is getting harder to find a church that does. So, I ask, why is it such a surprise to any Christian that these things are happening in the world and the church today?

We must live every day in expectation that Jesus could come back for the true church in the Rapture. By the signs that Jesus has told us about in Matthew 24, He could return at any time. Are you ready for His return? Are your family, friends, and your church ready? He told us in verse 36: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” Verse 42 and 44 says: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. … Therefore, be ye ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Jesus has warned us to be ready.”

If you are not a Christian, I urge you to ask Jesus to come into your life and accept Him as the Lord of your life. Simply ask Him to forgive you of our sins, and then live your life for Him. Today is the day to accept Him because tomorrow may be too late. He is coming back for us; don’t let His return be a surprise.
