Southwest Radio Ministries (SWRC) is celebrating 90 years of  ministry to and because of its devoted listeners. As the oldest continuously running Gospel-based radio broadcast in the country, Watchman on the Wall and Southwest Radio Ministries have been meeting the original mission of sharing Bible-based prophecy teaching—through radio, books and other publications, prison ministry, and international missions.

As we reflect and look ahead, we praise God for the great work HE has done!

Southwest Radio Church of the Air marked its first radio broadcast in April 1933 with a prophetic message by ministry founder and popular evangelist, Oklahoma City pastor E. F. Webber. What a fitting beginning!

SWRC still produces daily radio shows, focusing its efforts on evangelism, prophecy, missions, teaching, publications, contending for the faith, and encouraging others as the day draws near.

When founder Dr. E. F. Webber went to be with the Lord in 1959, his son Dr. David Webber took the reins, along with Noah Hutchings who had joined the ministry in 1951 and served until 2015. More recently, Dr. Larry Spargimino, radio host for many years, and Dr. Kenneth Hill, as a longtime board member and now-president, have been blessed with the task of keeping the multifaceted ministry vital and valid in rapidly changing times.

In fall 2021, Matthew Hill joined the SWRC leadership team as chief executive officer, and in late 2022, Bristol, Va., pastor Josh Davis came on board as staff evangelist, and longtime staff member Edward Webber, the founder’s grandson, became SWRC director of operations.

From that one 1933 broadcast on OKC’s KTOK radio station, SWRC has grown to include radio, print, video, and an online following that includes nearly 700 radio signals, and numerous monthly publications and digital communications—and Prophecy in the News as a Gospel ministry partner.

The ministry now serves from two locations, one in home-base Oklahoma City and a second site in Northeast Tennessee.

All these blessings of nine decades are thanks to you, our listeners and supporters! We thank our God for you in every remembrance.
