These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
We act as if the things our society is facing today are new. People are identifying themselves in ways that are mind boggling. Young and old, men and women, have found themselves in identity crisis. Many have no respect for law enforcement. Not to mention, where has patriotism and honoring our veterans and flag gone? We are in a constant state of political unrest. On top of all that, think about the industry problems of our day.
I know we are not supposed to mention these things. The truth is every state, county, province, and city are dealing with these issues, along with our school systems and churches, across all denominations. All of these topics have affected all our families. We all seem to have the same question, what is the answer to all of this entitled generations madness?
I am not calling people out or labeling them as bad, nor am I saying this whole generation is bad. What I am saying is Jesus told His disciples, “Ye shall have tribulation.” That is pretty clear. He did not stutter, stammer, nor have any kind of impairment of speech. Jesus was clear and to the point. There are going to be things that try everything about you, from your moral values to your political views, and yes, even your walk with Christ.
I love the next words of Jesus, “But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” As each of you read this, whether it is morning, noon, or night, no matter where you are from, know this, Jesus did not leave anyone out. He told everyone of us we would see tribulations and problems. Don’t allow those few things to destroy the good. Be of good cheer, Jesus has overcome the world.
