Since 1989, Southwest Radio Ministries has sponsored mission tours to China, directed specifically to visit home and non-government controlled churches.
An important part of our sponsored Chinese mission effort is to deliver Bibles and teaching materials in the Chinese language from outside sources to home and independent churches. Thousands of Rev. Hutchings' Happiness tract, presenting the Gospel in Mandarine Chinese, have been distributed throughout China.
Acccording to the CIA World Factbook (www.cia.gov), China has a population of over 1 billion people. China is almost as big as the United States, and its economy is now exploding. Just a few short decades ago, most people rode bicycles; nw more and more people have the income to buy and drive cars and live more financially comfortable lives.
However, the Chinese government still persecutes Christians and the Christian church. According to Voice of the Martyrs (www.persecution.com), China arrests and imprisons more Christians than any other country in the world. Yet the Christian church in China continues to grow, with approximately 3,000 Chinese believers added to the church each day.
Samuel Lamb, before his death in 2013, was a faithful Chinese Christian minister who suffered years of persecution by China's communist government. This brave and courageous man endured horrifying conditions and torture in Chinese prisons but was eventually released and continued to pastor one of the largest churches in China. Learn more about Christians in China by watching the DVD The Voice of China: An Interview with Samuel Lamb. which is complimentary with a gift of any amount for China missions.
Our primary contact in China today is Dr Christian Wei, who came to Christ in 1978 while serving in the Taiwanese military. He founded Christian Way Missions Inc in 1987 while earning his masters and doctoral degrees in theology from Bob Jones University. Today he is president of CWM and president/administrator of Eucon International College and School of Saipan, where he pastors the Chinese Bible Church. Dr Wei not only has traveled throughout China and Asia, but on Saipan ministers to an international community comprised of Chinese, Filipinos, Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese, and many others.
Greetings in His matchless name from Hong Kong. . . . We had the privilege of observing a baptism meeting that took place in a local river. It was a remarkable day, and a very happy occasion for the 397 believers who were baptized. . . . Some may wonder how such an event could ever take place in Communist China, but it is no wonder to the growing Christian family there. The evidence could not be better stated than by one young man at the baptism who said, "There is nothing better than serving the Lord. I give my whole life, all my being, to serve Him. There is nothing better." It truly is something to consider how many are being won for the Lord in China today.

Do you remember last time when we had a verty nice talk [in China]. . . . We talked about . . . sports, politics, and religion. . . . The Bible tells its disciples to love everyone, which leads you to be kind to everyone.
