There is a Report Card Coming
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
— Colossians 3:23-24
Does no one get it? Look at the chaos around us. Grown individuals are living diversified lifestyles, proclaiming this is love. When the truth is: This is lust. Lust is sin, and the end of sin is death.
The word “love” is thrown around like confetti at a parade. Yet, when people don’t get their way, they turn over police cars, break out windows, and burn buildings while rioting in the streets. Really? THIS IS LOVE?
Amazingly enough, the question—that is flying around like a Blue Angel at an air show—has a simple answer. What does it take to turn this around? The answer is simple and has been in black and white for nearly 2,000 years: “Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
Whether you believe or not, if we would all practice this one simple principle, our world would change. In every decision you make, if you would do it as unto the Lord, you would be amazed at the change in our world—in a matter of hours, if not minutes. If we based our relationships, raising our children, work, play, dating, marriage, and spirituality on the Lord, I would dare say, it would change our children, workplace, relationships, spiritual walk, our church, our communities, our entire life.
Believe it or not, there is a report card coming on how we handled the life God gave us and the things surrounding that life. There will be a reward given out. You can take that to the bank. This change does not start with legislation. It starts in our hearts and homes.
Our prayer for you this week: May you come to realize the power in doing things as unto God.
