From the backside of the desert

Exodus 9:16

And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.” Exodus 9:16

It’s amazing how the whole world is questioning everything. Can or can’t we believe the news? Are or are we not who we say we are? The days of going next door when you were short on butter or a cup of milk have seemingly come and gone.

Turn on the TV. Every few minutes you hear who has been injured, done wrong, or called something wrong. It is as if I can hear the late great B.J. Thomas sing,

“Hey, wontcha play another
Somebody done somebody wrong song?
And make me feel at home
While I miss my baby, while I miss my baby

So please play for me a sad melody
So sad that it makes everybody cry
A real hurtin’ song about a love that’s gone wrong
‘Cause I don’t want to cry all alone”

Have we bought into the desire of the enemy, clinging to the opinion of the wayward, disgruntled, dissatisfied, displeased, resentful, unhappy, irritated, discontented, delusional derelict – that have become happy marginalizing their identity so they can gain power and attention while defacing humanity in the face of God?

Like Moses, God has brought us from the backside of the desert for this moment, for this cause. He has raised us up to what should be our finest hour to show His purpose and power declaring His name to this generation.

It is only through the name of Jesus that this generation will truly be changed, find love, peace, joy, gentleness, meekness, faith, temperance, goodness, self-control, mercy, grace, and restoration. Quit buying into the somebody-done-me-wrong song. Today, allow your purpose to come forth. Let the fire from the backside of the desert of your life catapult you to change this day.

Our prayer for you this week: May you come to realize God raised you up to show forth the power and purpose of His Name, JESUS.
