None of These Diseases

In 1963, Fleming H. Revell Company released the book None of These Diseases, written by S. I. McMillen, M.D., that stated that modern science was 4,000 years behind the Bible. By 1975, the book was in its sixteenth printing and sold for $1.50. The book contained 26 chapters covering various ailments that could be prevented instead of being treated with modern medicine and psychology. It was based on God’s advice in Exodus 15:26: “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these disease upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord that healeth thee.” God is stating that the plagues that were cast upon Egypt remain a viable option depending upon their adherence to His commandments.

The reason that the Egyptians were experiencing the wrath of God was because of their refusal to acknowledge that the God of the Hebrews was the only God and was the author of the diseases that were plaguing them. Those promises are just as valid today as they were prior to the exodus from Egypt. McMillen states in his book that “God guaranteed a freedom from disease that modern medicine cannot duplicate.” We are thankful for our doctors, nurses, and others that treat us, but they treat the disease which is only a symptom of the real cause. We are responsible for our own situation. If we are rebellious and will not adhere to God’s instructions, then we must expect that He will remove His hand of protection and allow the sickness of this present world to move in on us.

It is reasonable to believe that America as a whole is rebellious, and God will remedy the situation. The entire population of Egypt, with the exception of God’s people, the Hebrews, had to endure the plagues because of one person, the Pharaoh. It is also reasonable to believe that a person or group of persons that prevent or impede others from serving God in this day and age will experience the wrath of God in the form of disease and plagues without remedy unless they repent. This is not to say that everyone that is experiencing health issues is in that condition because of sin. There are those “special people” that are chosen by God to endure sickness because they are to be a witness of faith and encouragement to others around them.

As we see the day of the Rapture approaching, the world will see an increase of plagues. “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24: 3–8).

Since Christ walked this earth, the world has seen many pestilences, and they have all killed millions. The major plagues listed at www.mphonline.org are:

  • The Antoine Plague (A.D. 165) caused by either measles or smallpox—killed a total of 5 million
  • The Plague of Justinian (A.D. 541–542)—killed 25 million
  • The Black Plague (1346–1353)—killed 75–200 million
  • The Third Cholera Pandemic (1852–1860)—killed 1 million
  • The Flu Pandemic (1889–1890)—killed 1 million
  • The Sixth Cholera Pandemic (1910–1911)—killed over 800,000
  • The Spanish Flu Pandemic (1918)—killed 20–50 million
  • The Asian Flu (1956–1958)—killed 2 million
  • The Flu Pandemic (1968)—killed 1 million
  • The HIV/AIDS Pandemic (2005–2012)—killed 36 million

The science and medical community have spent billions of dollars trying to find a cure for these maladies, but seem to never completely learn the source. Maybe, because God is the source. The most current virus has been dubbed Candida auris. The New York Times published an article recently entitled “A Mysterious Infection, Spanning the Globe in a Climate of Secrecy.” It states that this new germ is as deadly as it is mysterious.

Last May, an elderly man was admitted to the Brooklyn branch of Mount Sinai Hospital for abdominal surgery. A blood test revealed that he was infected with a newly discovered germ as deadly as it was mysterious.

Doctors swiftly isolated him in the intensive care unit. The germ, a fungus called Candida auris, preys on people with weakened immune systems, and it is quietly spreading across the globe. Over the last five years, it has hit a neonatal unit in Venezuela, swept through a hospital in Spain, forced a prestigious British medical center to shut down its intensive care unit, and taken root in India, Pakistan, and South Africa.

That man died after 90 days in the hospital but the germ lived on. The germ is so invasive that the hospital had to rip out the ceiling and floor tiles to get rid of it. “Everything was positive—the walls, the bed, the doors, the curtains, the phones, the sink, the whiteboard, the poles, the pump,” said Dr. Scott Lorin, the hospital’s president. “The mattress, the bed rails, the canister holes, the window shades, the ceiling, everything in the room was positive.”

The article also points out that like bacteria, fungi are evolving to survive modern medicines. Most of the blame is on the over-prescribed antibiotics and antifungals. Humans are also infected by all of the antibiotics and antifungals in farm animals and plants. Under agreement with the states, the CDC is not allowed to name hospitals that have an outbreak, putting the public at more risk. Almost one-half of the patients with C. auris die within the first 90 days. The CDC has no idea where it started or the source.

For those that thought most childhood diseases were eradicated, guess again. Measles and mumps are on the rise again. In New York City, Mayor de Blasio has declared a health emergency because of an outbreak of measles. In Texas, nearly 200 immigrants have the mumps. ICE has reported 27 cases at their facilities in Texas.

However, these diseases pale in comparison to the real danger to mankind. At present, that is reserved for the complacency of the church. The church today is a far cry from a few decades ago. Modern churches have become a haven for cowards and hypocrites who refuse to preach, teach, or follow the full council of God. In February of this year, Fairview Baptist Church of Edmond, Oklahoma, hosted a “God’s Voice Conference.” No other church volunteered to host the conference for both religious and political reasons. The conference is a biblical response to the queering of the church. Some refused because they accepted the queering of the church, or as one pastor said, there are some Democrats in this church and I don’t want to make them mad. This conference was a call to battle in order to stop the LGBTQ+ assault on the church.

Even the murder of babies through abortion seems to be taboo in the modern church. Christians have taken up the mantra of “proud to be pro-life,” which only means you follow the law concerning the taking of life. Try to preach abolition of murdering babies and hear the outcry of women’s rights. Now in New York an aborted baby that has survived the process of abortion can be killed while it is trying to hang on to life.

However, the coup de grace for the United States may well be the disease of anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism is anti-God, anti-Christian, and anti-American, and is on the rise right here in “the land of the free and home of the brave.” The hatred of Jews and of Israel has exponentially risen since the influx of Muslims entering America with one purpose, adding the United States to the caliphate and taking it to Hell with them. Now, clusters of them have been able to elect themselves representatives to further their cause.

The first Muslim to be elected to Congress was Keith Ellison from Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District in 2007. In 2019, he became Minnesota’s attorney general. He served as the deputy chair for the Democratic National Committee. He also placed his hand on a Q’uran to be sworn in.

In the November 2018 congressional elections, two women won seats in the House. One of them is Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, a native-born Somalian. Omar, who was elected to Minnesota’s 5th District (once occupied by Keith Ellison) is a rabid anti-Semite. Her haunting statement concerning 9/11 came straight from her black heart—“Some people did something”—disavowing the attack was by Muslims.

The Muslim Democratic representative from Detroit, Michigan, was sworn in the same day. She, along with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, are members of the Democratic Socialists of America. She defended Omar’s comment on 9/11.

If the good people of America don’t begin to push back against the cause of these diseases, it will collapse into a heap of rubbish ready to be set on fire by a spark from Hell. If our Congress and other leaders of this Christian nation don’t develop some backbone and do their job, it won’t be a Christian nation for long. If our churches don’t return to the Bible and cast out the filthy rags of homosexuality, abortion, and acceptance of cults such as Islam, it will become an embarrassment to Jesus Christ. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.
