Roe v. Wade Aftermath—Lessons From the Ongoing War

The overturning of Roe v. Wade has been a great victory for life. Several jurists agree, Roe v. Wade was “bad law.” It was about time for a change. However, while pro-lifers celebrated, abortion terrorists have fire-bombed pro-life organizations and churches standing for life. The group Ruth Sent Us published the home addresses of six Supreme Court justices leading to front-yard protests and threats against the justices and their families.

Ruth Sent Us suggested targeting the children of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. The group tweeted an infographic with the name of Barrett’s church. It also identified the school that Barrett’s children attend, and encouraged protesters to “voice your anger” by demonstrating there.

With a strong but unsuccessful attempt at gaining the moral high ground, Ruth Sent Us announced, “Our 6–3 extremist Supreme Court routinely issues rulings that hurt women, racial minorities, LGBTQ+ and immigrant rights. We must rise up to force accountability using a diversity of tactics.”

Jane’s Revenge, a coalition of pro-abortion groups, attacked pro-life pregnancy centers. On June 15, this group published its manifesto promising that the attacks will increase and stated they “find joy” in creating fear and mayhem. Each post of Jane’s Revenge clearly reveals the demented and satanic spirit driving such groups. A “Night of Rage” is being planned in which disgruntled abortion activists plan to “unleash hell.” “We need to express this madness fully and with ferocity. We need to quit containing ourselves. We need them to be afraid of us,” they announced.

As Matt Staver of Liberty Counsel wrote, “‘Roe’ May Be Dead, But Jezebel Is Still Alive and Well.” The biblical character Jezebel is perhaps the most twisted worshipper of Baal and other blood-thirsty deities. Baal worship was characterized by sexual deviancy and the sacrifice of children to satisfy the false deity’s thirst for the blood of innocents..

What It Means For America

The U.S. Supreme Court has delivered a landmark victory for the pro-life movement—but also an astounding victory for democracy in America. The high court’s ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade is a culmination of a long-fought, intensely-emotional battle by the men and women who support the sanctity of human life. Their years of labor and intense prayer have finally paid off.

Consequently the controversial issue of abortion has been taken out of the hands of nine unelected justices and placed in the hands of elected state officials. Abortion has not been outlawed, but it will now be decided at the state level where the people of individual states can express their desires in the polling place. This is the American way.

What It Means for the Christian Cause and Spiritual Warfare

The current controversy is not just about different opinions. It’s about the nature of every Christian’s struggle as articulated in Ephesians 6:12: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” America is in the throes of spiritual warfare. The pro-abortion crowd has an insatiable appetite for doing harm and has the support of high-ranking government officials who seem motivated by the same demonic insanity.

Instead of condemning the senseless and destructive rage, President Biden has fueled the fires by blaming Trump’s pro-life court appointees and claiming that abortion is healthcare. Worse yet, in front of the Supreme Court, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer joined pro-choice protesters on the day justices debated the constitutionality of a Louisiana pro-abortion legislation titled “Louisiana Unsafe Abortion Protection Act.” During his speech, Schumer yelled, “I want to tell you Neil Gorsuch, and you Brett Kavanaugh, you have unleashed a whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” 

The court was hearing a challenge to a Louisiana law that required doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals, a law opponents said would limit women’s access to abortion in the state.

This is clearly a complex issue, but there are some basic principles that I want to make note of. 

First, the overturning of Roe v. wade is a great victory, but the war is by no means over. Multitudes of Christians and conservatives, both men and women, have been engaged in a hard, long-term effort, but the war is by no means over. We have not entered the Millennium. This is not the Kingdom Age.

If anything can be certain, it is this: Satan and his minions are angry and have not surrendered. Instead, the battle has been ramped up. The battle will intensify. Our nation has been in a moral free-fall for many years. This victory will not stop the free fall. The imps of hell will say, “We have been conquered, but we have not been convinced.”

The godless moral conditions that produced Planned Parenthood and the countless women who believe that abortion is a constitutional right are still with us. Those who believe that Satan is currently bound and we are in the Millennium of Revelation 20:1–6 may take momentary comfort in the overturning of Roe v. Wade, but Satan is still Satan, his agenda is as popular as ever, and the philosophy of human autonomy, in which man is seen as the master of his destiny, is still in the hearts of multitudes.

Second, the Biden presidency has been a disaster for ALL Americans, even for Democrats, but Biden is still their darling. Hostility against Christian conservatism is so hardened and irrational that it can be said, “The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire” (2 Pet. 2:22). There is really nothing attractive about vomit and mire, yet it has its supporters. Dogs and sows can be covered with the worst of slop but have the most contented looks on their face. They are not looking for something better. This is the best—and they love it. 

Third, America is in travail for basically one reason: We have departed from our moral roots. The confusion and violence caused by overturning Roe v. Wade, and other serious social problems in America, like the terrible loss of life from the random shootings, are all symptomatic of America’s departure from our Christian roots.

While Joe Biden ran on the issue of “transgender rights” and marriage equality, the blessings of liberty will only be experienced in the context of a moral and virtuous society. There are no “transgender rights.” It is a made-up category to promote a radical, left-wing agenda. Furthermore, “same-sex marriage” is an oxymoron. Two same-sex individuals coming together in no way can be called “marriage.” 

If America’s founders were able to view today’s news they would have to shake their heads in dismay. John Adams, signer of the Declaration of Independence and second president of the United States, said, “It is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue.” Adams also stated, “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. … Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

And, of course, when the founders speak about “morality and religion” they are speaking of the morality and religion found in the Bible, which, unfortunately, has become the object of derision and scorn in modern academia. John Quincy Adams, sixth president of the United States, wrote: “There are three points of doctrine the belief of which form the foundation of all morality. The first is the existence of God; the second is the immortality of the human soul; and the third is a future state of rewards and punishments. Suppose it possible for a man to disbelieve either of these three articles of faith and that man will have no conscience, he will have no other law than that of the tiger and the shark. The laws of man may bind him in chains or may put him to death, but they never can make him wise, virtuous, or happy.”

Notice the words, “and that man will have no conscience.” Does this not describe so many of the shooting rampages of the summer of 2022? And does it not describe the bloodthirsty abortionists who slay the unborn by the thousands?

The Indoctrination of the American Mind

While many Americans miss what is going on, Lily Tang Williams, who is currently running as a Republican candidate for Congress in New Hampshire’s second district, discussed the lessons she learned as a witness to the brutality of the Chinese Cultural Revolution and shared a warning to Americans on the importance of fighting for liberty.

Tang Williams argues that children were one of the most effective tools Mao exploited to fuel his revolution. They became indoctrinated to a point where they betrayed their parents to the communist state in order to move upwards in Mao’s system.

Your kids are key, either to a future of crushing bondage or to keeping America the land of the free and the home of the brave. Ground them in the Word. Educate them well.
