“How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people!” (Lam. 1:1).
These are getting to look more and more like the last days for the United States of America. We are at the end of our short, but glorious history. The America that you and I know could quickly vanish forever.
How could that happen? It’s very simple. If God’s people continue to slumber and do not rise up to pray, to be outspoken, to vote, to take a stand—if we allow lawless moral midgets directed by their reprobate minds identified by the moniker “Democrat” to take office—our doom is sealed.
We do not need a nuclear attack to obliterate us. We will die by national suicide. All the signs of moral decay have been with us for years. A misguided and blind supreme court has given us abortion and same-sex marriage. Yet we, the church, have really not given it much thought. We’ve been like the homeowner who sees signs that termites are at work behind the walls, but we blow the little piles of sawdust away—whoosh—we can forget the termites. We may forget them, but they are still busily at work.
The prophet Jeremiah lamented the fall of Jerusalem—God’s holy city. If God destroyed Jerusalem and allowed His own covenant land to be overrun by bloodthirsty pagans, what will He allow to happen to America?
Should Politics Be Avoided by Pastors?
The church has fallen for the dangerous belief that politics has nothing to do with our faithfulness to God. I remember a Bible study not too long ago where the leader said, “We can discuss anything, but politics.” I know that there are deacons and elders who examine pastoral candidates and remind them to keep politics out of the pulpit. What? The pulpit can’t address infanticide, sodomy, gambling, the recreational use of marijuana?
Another area that’s off limits from public discourse is America’s public schools. For some reason they are automatically above reproach. There is a behind-the-scenes struggle raging upon which the future of America depends. Who will raise our kids? The left-wing American teachers’ colleges or parents? Education has now become the most important political battle facing America. Without addressing this crisis and bringing it to a solution, Christians and conservatives will lose every single battle in the years ahead. The American educational system is sucking the moral lifeblood out of our kids and giving them massive transfusions of socialism, secularism, and liberalism. Democrats are seeking to gain votes in the future by allowing illegal immigrants to vote, AND by brainwashing YOUR kids.
I used to avoid mentioning the Democratic Party from the pulpit, or in printed material. I wanted to be fair. I felt that there were some good people in the Democratic Party. I felt I should just deal with the issues. But the Democratic Party has become so reprobate you can’t speak about gross evil without speaking about Democrats.
Look at the Democratic candidates presenting themselves as presidential hopefuls in the next election. Here’s what they are offering: legalized prostitution, the abolition of ICE, no guns for American citizens but sheltering illegals who want to get guns, abortion as national health care, open borders and the surrender of American sovereignty—to name a few. Have we ever seen such a sorry group of people who want to hold office as OUR commander in chief?
A Creeping Political Correctness in Church Bodies
There is a creeping political correctness and outright moral timidity that has paralyzed church bodies. One sorry example is the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO). A Republican, Senator Silk, has put forth a bill to abolish abortion. But his bill, SB-13, is being opposed by the BGCO (christiannews.net). The BGCO says it opposes abortion but is opposed to SB-13 because it’s “unconstitutional.” The Roe v Wade decision has made it “the law of the land.” Senator Silk has reminded his opponents that the Supreme Court has goofed big time before, as when a number of states sought to abolish slavery despite the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dred Scott v. Sanford and affirmed the “rights” of slave owners. Since when does a human body that has erred grievously cancel moral law?
We are bending over backward and allowing “snowflakes” to control what we say. These are the people who think it’s a constitutional right to not be offended. They melt easily. It’s time for Christian people to rise up. A battle that is not fought is always lost.
Homo Fascist Panzer Divisions—The Blitzkrieg Is Coming!
On September 19, 1993, homo fascists rioted outside the Hamilton Square Baptist Church in San Francisco, California. Angry LGBT activists, frothing at the mouth like angry dogs, and outraged over an invited Sunday night speaker, defaced the church building, pounded on the doors of the church, assaulted churchgoers, frightened children—while the police did absolutely nothing.
Homo fascism is an outgrowth of homosexual activist power—which is greatest in major cities and gay meccas like San Francisco. Ironically, it resorts to the very same bully tactics that homosexual activists routinely condemn—and which they have applied consistently to great effect to promote homosexual programs and ideology in schools. True to form, while bully activists were breaking church windows, the homosexuals portrayed themselves as “victims.”
Democrats Are Out to Destroy America
The above heading seems an exaggeration, but it isn’t. In the last several weeks, many immigrants seeking to enter America legally have been sick. Fortunately, because they are trying to enter legally they have been spotted and are being treated. But what about the thousands that are entering illegally?
Most illnesses are spread by contact with infected people, livestock, or agricultural produce. The movement of masses of people, such as found in migrant caravans containing thousands of immigrants forcing their way into America, can link zones of disease with zones that are relatively disease free. America is being set up by those who oppose the wall for a public health disaster of apocalyptic proportions. Is this possibly the seeds of the “pestilence” that the Bible talks about in Matthew 24:7?
So, dear reader, are you feeling a little sick, maybe feverish? I hope you re not coming down with something serious. Hopefully, not something as serious as Ebola—that ghastly hemorrhagic fever that causes bleeding from every orifice of the body and then a horrible death.
And, by the way, have you been to the mall lately—the crowded malls, where people congregate? Has anyone sneezed in your direction? Have you used a public conveyance like a bus or a subway? That person next to you looked sick. Sure hope he or she has had their immunizations.
Now I know, we hear that life is hard for some of the immigrants. They are fleeing drugs, street violence, murder, and criminal activity. So, if that’s a valid reason for leaving your country and going to another, maybe we should all start a caravan FROM America.
Just turn on the news in Oklahoma City. What do we hear about? Drugs, street violence, murder, and criminal activity. Lake Overholser is just a few miles from the Southwest Radio Church office. It’s a lovely lake. One warning, however. Dead bodies. There is no hunting allowed in Oklahoma City, so why do we hear gunshots in the night? Just a great place to spend a warm summer evening with your family, isn’t it?
Last summer, late in the afternoon, all of us at the office heard a helicopter hovering right over the office. After about fifteen minutes of the helicopter just hovering over the office, I thought I would look out the window. I noticed there was a firetruck nearby, and several police cars with flashing lights. Then in back of the building I noticed what looked like a SWAT team—police officers with helmets, body armor, and M-16s ready for business. No one could leave the building. There had been an armed robbery nearby.
We are seeing a flood of depravity spilling forth from the human heart. Jesus said, “for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” (Matt. 12:34). What’s down in the well comes up in the bucket.
