The prophecies of Daniel are as important to the Old Testament as the book of Revelation is to the New Testament. If fact, John used many of the symbolic metaphors in the Revelation. J. R. Church and Gary Stearman present Daniel’s view of the “times of the Gentiles.” Daniel gives an historical overview of four world governments, concluding with the rise and fall of the Antichrist and the coming of Israel’s promised Messiah. Daniel was deported to Babylon as a captive. But his excellent wisdom caught the attention of the king, allowing him to enjoy a lifetime of service to the rulers of three empires.

Daniel’s prophetic visions have made his book the most interesting study in the Old Testament. Without a clear understanding of Daniel’s end time prophecies, you can’t fully grasp the whole of Scripture.
